Introduction

Department of Community Development (DCD) offers a comprehensive understanding about both theories and best practices in community development. Students learn about community organizations and programs, civil engagement, community organizing, community leadership, governance, human rights, natural disaster management, gender, and research methodology. In addition, students learn how to work with both individuals and groups within the context of larger social institutions.
Upon graduation, graduates are qualified to work for non-profit, public and private sectors as community organizers, community planners, community facilitators, community researchers, and project managers.
